He has been part of Pittler T&S GmbH since 1979 and started his journey in the company where many careers begin: in training.

Michael Liebst has gotten to know all facets of the company. He has continued to develop through in-house training and further education. From positions in the office to field service and commissioning, he worked in various areas before finding his true passion in design. Today, he contributes his expertise to the development of new solutions and thus makes a significant contribution to the company's success.

Team spirit and working atmosphere

Michael describes the working environment at Pittler T&S as excellent. “The team is great, you can absolutely rely on everyone!” he says. The good working atmosphere and smooth cooperation with the commissioning engineers, fitters and installers are crucial for him. Despite the different characters, it has been possible to create a common basis on which everyone gets along wonderfully.

The day-to-day work

Michael describes his working day very pragmatically: “I get up in the morning, do my work and go home again.” A simple but effective approach that shows that he takes his tasks seriously and enjoys them. The biggest challenge for him is to prove himself. “I set myself a task and don't rest until it has been completed to my satisfaction,” he emphasizes.

Projects that leave their mark

Michael is particularly proud of two projects: the creation of a tool management system and the successful implementation of a machine for the customer Scania - for the fifth time. “I put a lot of know-how into that, but it paid off in the end,” he sums up. These successes are not only milestones in his career, but also important contributions to the company's development.

Focus on corporate goals

Michael is currently working on implementing the new Sinumerik-ONE control system for the company's new machines. This implementation and the retrofitting and modernization of existing systems, also known as “retrofitting”, is a central goal that he supports with his knowledge and experience.

Advice for successors

His advice to prospective colleagues: “You should always be curious and have ambition.” This curiosity has motivated him over the years and keeps his passion for technology alive.

Despite having already started his retirement phase, Michael wants to continue working for Pittler T&S. “It's like first love, you don't forget it,” he replies with a smile. This emotional bond shows that it's not just about a job, but about a sense of home and belonging.
