Most people have already been calling it “DVS SERVICE.” Now, the time has come to match the name to the main expertise and services: WMS to become DVS SERVICE.

More than 70 years ago, “Neue Magdeburger” originally built machine tools in Sinsheim. Eventually, the company changed the name to match the products and location: “New Magdeburger” became “WMS – Werkzeugmaschinen Sinsheim.” In addition to the construction of machine tools, the company from Sinsheim started to increasingly and then exclusively focus on services for selected machine manufacturers in the group. With this core expertise, they have been considered the specialists for maintenance and repairs within the DVS TECHNOLOGY GROUP for several years.

For the customers of the DVS Group and thus of course also for the group itself, the service aspect has become increasingly important. In addition to traditional maintenance and repair tasks, issues such as consulting, digitalization, and retrofitting are also playing a bigger and bigger role today. The service aspect is no longer incidental, it has become a core feature in the life cycle of machinery as well as the strategy of the DVS TECHNOLOGY GROUP.

In short: The time has come to change the company's name to what it does and knows best. “WMS” will become “DVS SERVICE” from 2023.
